Universal Preschool (UPK) Offers Preschool for Every Child in the Year Before Kindergarten

If your child is in the year before they are eligible for kindergarten, your child can participate in the Colorado Universal Preschool Program (UPK) and receive 15 hours per week of state funding for preschool!
Depending on available funding, children eligible for UPK may qualify for additional hours if they meet certain qualifying factors. Some 3-year-olds may also qualify for funding for part-time preschool (up to 15 hours) through the school district (or school district partners) if they meet certain qualifying factors.
